Insurance costs!!!

We just renewed our insurance and the costs are so high! We will pay almost $400 for DH's one year car insurance, $300 for mine, $250 for my life insurance, $500 for house, and $250 umbrella. That's $1700! Yikes. Next year we'll have to shop around.

    I think you have good insurance prices but it never hurts to research it. We did and raised our deductibles but still pay terrible rates. We have a fantastic credit rating, no accidents and are retired(we only put about 3500 miles on the car a year) and we pay $ 884. a year for 100,000/30000 liability and $1000. deductible collision. Car insurance rates are awful here in AZ because of so much car theft(easy to take them to Mexico)!

    We have $2500. deductible homeowners insurance and pay $500. a year!

    Wow. Maybe I shouldn't complain so much about our auto. We pay about the same for homeowners with the same deductible. Thanks for the numbers to help in comparisons.
